Professional Recruiting was founded by CPA Jennifer Cedro, whose background in public accounting shaped the firm's commitment to understanding both the technical and human side of hiring. That perspective allows us to better evaluate talent, understand our clients' needs, and make hiring easier.

While accounting and finance remain at the core of what we do, we also recruit experienced professionals in HR, payroll, administration, and other key business functions. Our goal is simple: connect great companies with great people who will contribute long after the hiring process is complete.

JENNIFER CEDRO, CPA
FOUNDER & RECRUITER
Jennifer Cedro, CPA, founded Professional Recruiting in 2004 after building a career in public accounting, recruiting, and finance. A graduate of the University of New Orleans with a BS in Accounting and a licensed CPA, she began her career in Arthur Andersen's audit practice before transitioning into recruiting, where she led campus recruiting efforts across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. Her passion for connecting exceptional people with outstanding companies has been the driving force behind Professional Recruiting for more than 20 years.

Known for her thoughtful approach, strong work ethic, and genuine desire to help others, Jennifer has built lasting relationships with clients and candidates throughout the Gulf South. She believes recruiting is about more than filling positions; it's about changing careers, strengthening businesses, and creating long-term success for everyone involved.

Outside the office, Jennifer is a proud wife, mom to four boys with two grandsons and two pups, her girls. Whether she's volunteering in the community, staying active, planning her next international adventure, shopping, or spending time with family, she's happiest making meaningful memories with the people she loves. If you've met Jennifer, you've probably noticed one thing right away: she's almost always smiling.

Emily Lovitt joined Professional Recruiting in 2019 after building a career in corporate marketing. She earned her BS in Marketing from LSU and her MBA from the University of New Orleans, bringing a creative mindset and strong organizational skills to the recruiting industry. From marketing and communications to website management and graphic design, Emily helps keep Professional Recruiting running behind the scenes while supporting candidates and clients throughout the hiring process.

Emily especially enjoys getting to know professionals, learning about their career journeys, and helping connect them with opportunities where they can thrive. Her strengths in marketing, administration, and communication allow her to create a seamless experience while showcasing both candidates and employers in the best possible light.

Outside of work, Emily is a proud mom to her daughter and two pups. You'll often find her at Pilates or yoga, out for a walk, enjoying the outdoors, or spending time with family. She believes the best relationships (both personal and professional) are built through genuine connection, thoughtful communication, and a willingness to help others succeed.
